Crisis Support & Mental Health Resources
Provided by Helix Health Group
When Is It a Mental Health Crisis?
A mental health crisis may be occurring if someone is experiencing:
Suicidal or homicidal thoughts or behaviors, especially with an active plan or intent to harm themselves or others
Acute pyschosis (e.g., hallucinations/delusions that interfere with reality)
Severe functional decline that is new (inability to eat, sleep, care for personal hygiene, or perform daily tasks)
The If any of these are present, this is a medical emergency. Immediate help is essential.
What To Do in a Crisis?
Helix Health Group is not equipped to provide emergency or crisis intervention services.
If you are concerned someone is in imminent danger, take the following steps immediately:
Call 911 for emergency assistance
Call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Go to your nearest Emergency Room or Crisis Center
What If It’s Urgent, But Not an Emergency?
If the situation is serious but not immediately life-threatening, help is still available. You might be in this category if someone is:
Struggling with severe anxiety, depression, or new life stressor
In urgent need of medication or therapy but unable to get an appointment soon
At risk of deteriorating rapidly without support
Suggested options include:
Visiting a local crisis evaluation or walk-in mental health center
Calling 988 for real-time support or referrals
Exploring PHP (Partial Hospitalization) or IOP (Intensive Outpatient) programs for structured, short-term care
